Appointments - 028 3831 1410/ 3831 1411

We operate telephone and face-to-face appointments on a prebookable, on the day and emergency system.

Pre-bookable appointments can be made in advance with a GP of your choice provided that the GP of your choice is available. Emergency appointments are allocated on the day.

We will deal with emergencies whenever they occur. We are commited to ensuring that all patients who request advice will be contacted or seen by an appropriate professional within 48 hours of their contact, where medical condition requires this or advice given.

Appointments are given Monday to Friday mornings from 9am to 12.30pm and afternoons (except Thursday) 2.30pm to 5.30pm.  Emergencies may also be fitted in outside these times at the GP's direction.

Your appointment

However you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:

  • by phone
  • face to face at the surgery

Appointments by phone can be more flexible and often means you get help sooner.

Cancelling or changing an appointment

To cancel your appointment:

  • phone us on 028 38 311410/411, Monday to Friday from 8:30am

If you need help when we are closed

The out of hours service in the area is provided by the Southern Health Board, through the new centre in the grounds of Craigavon Hospital (click here for location map). The service is known as Southern Area Urgent Care Services - SAUCS

The telephone number for SAUCS is 028 3839 9201. More information can be found by the following link SAUCS.

The out of hours service should be reserved for emergencies and all health problems that cannot reasonably wait until the Health Centre re-opens.

It is important to phone, and not to just turn up at the out of hours centre. This is to ensure that all problems are dealt with in the most efficient manner.

If you need help with your appointment

Please tell us:

  • if there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
  • if you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone or face-to-face
  • if you need an interpreter
  • if you have any other access or communication needs

Home visits

If possible please try to telephone reception before 10am if you require a home visit.

A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.

House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Health Centre.
